Distance education is an alternative to providing access to education for people who are constrained by distance and time. Based on the concept of "Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodo, Ing Madyo Mangun Karso, Tut Wuri Handayani" which is a principle in Javanese education, Distance Education can reinforce the three pillars of education. First, Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodo means "in front of setting an example". Distance Education can provide exemplary examples through the use of appropriate technology in the teaching and learning process. Using the right technology, such as video conferencing, e-learning, and other learning media, creates an interactive and interesting learning environment for students. Second, Ing Madyo Mangun Karso means "in the middle of strengthening the spirit". Distance Education can provide students a high enthusiasm for learning by providing access to all levels of society to learn. That way, students can develop their potential and improve their quality of life. Third, Tut Wuri Handayani means "behind giving support". Distance Education can provide support in the form of tutoring and counseling to students who need it. With this support, students can better understand and achieve learning goals more easily. The method used in this article is a qualitative approach to the literature study method. In conclusion, Distance Education can be the right alternative for providing education access for people constrained by distance and time. The concept of "Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodo, Ing Madyo Mangun Karso, Tut Wuri Handayani" is a principle in Javanese education that can reinforce the three pillars of education.
Kusnadi Kusnadi Copyright (c) 2023 International Conference on Multidisciplinary Academic Studies 2023-10-18 2023-10-18 1 1 18 Effectiveness of Online Mentoring in Scientific Writing for Students in The Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teacher Program http://conference.ut.ac.id/index.php/icomus/article/view/780
The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of the effectiveness of the mentoring process for writing scientific papers for Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teacher program students at universities that implement a distance learning system. Indonesian people generally process cooked rice waste into ‘Aking rice’. ‘Aking rice’ is a result from the drying of cooked rice with the sun. ‘Aking rice’ is generally used as animal feed, but on the other hand, aking rice has the potential to be used as a source of activated carbon because it contains high carbon. We learn the optimum carbonization temperature for making activated carbon from aking rice by conducting several characterization tests on activated charcoal from each carbonization temperature. The fabrication method of activated carbon in this research occurs in two steps, carbonization first followed by chemical activation using HCl. The carbonization temperature variations are 300°C, 400°C, and 500°C. The optimum carbonization temperature is 500°C because all results comply with requirement. Activated carbon from carbonization temperature at 500°C has water content of 0,96%, ash content of 0,98%, volatile matter content of 19,30%, and fixed carbon content 79,72%. Variation of carbonization temperature does not give significant effect for ash content and water content, but give significant effect for volatile matter content and fixed carbon content.
Muhammad Hanif Fauziah Rahman Farah Syifa Aulia Athiefah Fauziyyah Iffana Dani Maulida Copyright (c) 2023 International Conference on Multidisciplinary Academic Studies 2023-10-24 2023-10-24 1 36 43 Analysis of Good Governance Implementation in Public Services http://conference.ut.ac.id/index.php/icomus/article/view/1190
The government has duties and responsibilities in public services, in carrying out its duties in providing government services applying the principles of good governance which is a challenge for governments in the era of globalization and modernization. To implement the principles of good governance, the government issued Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Local Government and Law Number 25 of 2009 concerning Public Services. However, currently entering 3 decades after reform, good governance practices are still far from public wishful thinking, but on the contrary, the practice of corruption, collusion, and nepotism is still rampant and constrained by decentralization hegemony. This paper aims to determine the level of application of good government in Ajibarang District, Banyumas Regency. The method used in this study is to use a qualitative approach by conducting interviews with leaders and implementers of public services, this research was conducted in Ajibarang District, Banyumas Regency because Ajibarang District has received awards with plenary service, but there are still many complaints from the public related to public services. The application of good governance principles has been implemented in public services in Ajibarang District, Banyumas Regency, the implementer has also conducted socialization to the community regarding public services carried out in Ajibarang District. Public Services in Ajibarang District have also carried out public service activities in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and laws and regulations.
Saeful Rokhman Sofiana Mardiyantiningsih Indah Setia Utami Copyright (c) 2023 International Conference on Multidisciplinary Academic Studies 2023-10-25 2023-10-25 1 44 51 Reaching the Unreached: The Role And Contribution Of Open And Distance Education For Communities In The Island Region http://conference.ut.ac.id/index.php/icomus/article/view/1175
Accessibility and reachability are the strengths of open and distance education (ODE) with its cost-effectiveness and flexibility. The method applied in this study is a qualitative descriptive method while the methods used in data collection are interviews, observation, documentation, and questionnaires. The results of the study show that the factors that affect household food security include the number of family members (X1), pre-pandemic income (X2), pandemic income (X3), new normal income (X4), and expenditure (X5), with t-test analysis can be seen that the variable number of family members (X1), Income during the Pandemic (X3) and Income during the New Normal (X4) has no significant effect on household food security (Y), while the variables Pre-Pandemic Income (X2) and Expenditures (X5) has a significant effect on household food security (Y). It can be seen that farmers can still exist during a pandemic, it is not too influential because farmers are still carrying out their activities, they can still eat garden produce, and their catch.
Andi Suci Anita Purna Kusumayana A. Lamb) Anthocyanins http://conference.ut.ac.id/index.php/icomus/article/view/2291
Purpose – Formalin in food can be detected using anthocyanin pigments in purple sweet potatoes (Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lamb). Anthocyanins turn red or pink on contact with acidic formalin. Concerns arise about similar color changes with other acidic compounds. Thus, this study examines anthocyanin reactions with various acidic compounds—Food Additives Acids: acetic, lactic, citric, phosphoric, ascorbic, benzoic, and tartaric acid.

Methodology –This simple experiment involved 7 test samples and 1 control (formalin). Sample concentrations adhered to BPOM guidelines, and pH levels were measured. Purple sweet potatoes were mixed 1:1 with distilled water. 5 mL of each sample was combined with anthocyanin drops in separate test tubes (10 mL total volume). Observations tracked color change duration (735.40 seconds). pH was measured again post-observation.

Findings – Results showed red coloration in lactic, phosphoric, and acetic acid samples—not always indicating formalin. pH changes after anthocyanin addition can quantitatively detect formalin and acid samples.

Originality – This research has never been conducted before. Previous studies only focused on the detection of formalin acid compounds in food, not about acidic food additives.
Riska Nurul Fauziyah Fauziah Restiyani Eko Yuliastuti, E.S Copyright (c) 2023 International Conference on Multidisciplinary Academic Studies 2024-02-12 2024-02-12 1 231 240 Analysis of The Process of Formulation And Publication of The Regulation of The Regency Head Regarding The Allocation of Village Funds in Bogor Regency for The Year 2023 http://conference.ut.ac.id/index.php/icomus/article/view/1011
The Regent Regulation (Peraturan Bupati or Perbup) is one type of Regional Head Regulation (Peraturan Kepala Daerah or Perkada) that functions as an implementation tool for higher-level national and provincial laws and regulations. This research is conducted because the Bogor Regency Government has issued a Regent Regulation regarding the Village Fund Allocation (Alokasi Dana Desa or ADD) for the fiscal year 2023, but there has been a delay in its issuance. The research aims to determine whether the process of drafting the Bogor Regency Regent Regulation Number 11 of 2023 concerning the Allocation and Procedures for the Distribution of Village Fund for the Fiscal Year 2023 is in accordance with the Laws and Regulations. The author uses the normative juridical method in this research by obtaining data through literature study and interviews. The data sources used include documents related to the Formation of Laws and Regulations, such as the Ministry of Home Affairs Regulation and other relevant regulations, as well as relevant literature data on the research topic. In addition, interviews were conducted with relevant officials to obtain complete and in-depth information. This research indicates that the formation of regent regulations must follow the mechanisms and procedures stipulated in the laws and regulations, including the stages of drafting, deliberation, guidance/facilitation, determination, numbering, promulgation, authentication, and dissemination. Therefore, procedurally, the process of drafting and issuing Regent Regulation Number 11 of 2023 concerning the Allocation and Procedures for the Distribution of Village Fund for the Fiscal Year 2023 is in line with the provisions of Law Number 12 of 2011 concerning the Formation of Laws and Regulations, as well as the Ministry of Home Affairs Regulation Number 80 of 2015 concerning the Formation of Regional Legal Products.
Novan Yuana Nur Ilham Nadia Nurani Isfarin Copyright (c) 2023 International Conference on Multidisciplinary Academic Studies 2024-02-15 2024-02-15 1 241 253 Improving The Competitiveness of The Rote Ndao Ikat Weaving Industry http://conference.ut.ac.id/index.php/icomus/article/view/2384
Many ikat weaving crafts are found in Indonesia, including Rote Ndao ikat weaving in East Nusa Tenggara Province. To survive global competition, ikat weaving must have a competitive advantage over other weaving. This research will analyze the competitiveness of Rote Ndao ikat weaving. The method used is SWOT Analysis, which explores strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The results showed that Rote Ndao ikat weaving has a unique and classy appeal to motifs and patterns. However, the design that is owned tends to be dark. In contrast, many consumers want lighter colors. Ikat weaving at a lower price is now widely found on the market. Thus, MSME players must diversify products and innovations so that the Rote Ndao ikat weaving motif can be accepted in all market segments. The local Government must also provide a positive climate to support Rote Ndao ikat weaving to become one of the leading products in East Nusa Tenggara Province.
Herry Richard Henukh Dinda Ketlyn Esmeralda Adu Esty Feronika Afuiakani Etty Puji Lestari Copyright (c) 2023 International Conference on Multidisciplinary Academic Studies 2024-03-14 2024-03-14 1 254 266
