Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of students' skills in writing procedural texts and the low interest and motivation of students in learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of students' procedural text writing skills by using audio-visual media. The first instrument of this study was the researcher himself who acted as a data collector using a supporting instrument in the form of an observation sheet. Data analysis was carried out by following the flow of data analysis which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the implementation of writing learning actions using audio-visual media in learning Indonesian in each cycle always increase, namely in cycle I by 10% and in cycle II by 50%. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there is an increase in students' skills in writing procedural texts using audio-visual media, making it easier for students to understand learning material, and can attract attention and motivate students in learning the material provided.
