The purpose of this study was to find out wheter the probing prompting learning model can improve students’ competency achievement in abstracting procedure text activities. The probing prompting learning model is a learning technique based on question and answer activities to guide students in abstracting procedure texts. Probing prompting is a learning model that guides students to be active during the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not there was a significant difference between the students’ ability to abstract the procedure text before and after using the probing prompting learning model.
