Increasing Children's Body Privacy Awareness Through Toilet Training Activities at KB YUMNA Padang Panjang City

Abstract

Efforts to prevent sexual violence and fulfill children's rights include providing education that helps children understand their bodily privacy. This study aims to increase children's awareness of bodily privacy through toilet training. The study was conducted at KB YUMNA in Padang Panjang City using the classroom action research method. Fifteen children aged 3-5 years participated in the study. Data collection was conducted using observation notes, interviews, and documentation. Quantitative descriptive data analysis was used. The results of the study showed a percentage score of 42% in cycle 1 and 76% in cycle 2. From the results of the two cycles, there was an increase of 34%, so it can be concluded that by implementing toilet training, children's ability to realize that their bodily privacy must be maintained and protected can increase.
