Having good mental health means that our minds are in a state of peace and tranquility. According to a report from the World Health Organization (WHO), about 10-15% of children worldwide have mental health disorders. This study aims to evaluate how effective the "Free Psychology Service" program is in meeting the mental health needs of children in Tangerang City, with a focus on improving accessibility, service quality, and community involvement in utilizing these services. The research was carried out in Tangerang City such as the P3AP2KB Office, UPTD PPA, Junior High School (SMP). Data collection was carried out by Field Observation and Interviews with the Head of the P3AP2KB Office, Psychologists, Counselors, Deputy Principals, Teachers, and Junior High School (SMP) Students in Tangerang City. The research methods used in this study are Quantitative and Qualitative. The results of the study show that the main causes of children's mental health disorders in Tangerang City are physical violence, sexual violence (UPTD PPA), child development, psychological disorders, and parenting (PUSPAGA). The "Free Psychology Services" program has a positive impact but is not optimal due to a lack of understanding of the importance of mental health from an early age. This research is expected to be the basis for the development of more comprehensive programs and policies in supporting children's mental health.
Yopita Agrippina Harefa, Nabila Asy-Syifa Syahnadi, Ridho Harta Copyright (c) 2024 International Conference on Multidisciplinary Academic Studies https://conference.ut.ac.id/index.php/icomus/article/view/2452 Fri, 15 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0700 The Qualification Levels of The Workforce in Batam City https://conference.ut.ac.id/index.php/icomus/article/view/2571
The city of Batam, as one of Indonesia's industrial and economic hubs, requires a workforce with qualifications that meet the demands of the ever-evolving labor market. This study aims to describe and analyze the qualification levels of the workforce in Batam, including education levels, technical skills, certifications, and their alignment with industry needs. The research uses a qualitative approach by gathering secondary data from various sources, such as government reports, labor statistics, and previous studies on Batam's key industrial sectors. The findings reveal a significant gap between the existing workforce qualifications and industry requirements, particularly in sectors that demand high technical skills and specialized certifications. These results indicate the need for further efforts by the government and the education sector to improve workforce skills and competencies through more targeted training programs. This study is expected to serve as a reference for policymakers to enhance and align workforce development programs with global market demands.
Rizky Dwi Andrean Copyright (c) 2024 International Conference on Multidisciplinary Academic Studies https://conference.ut.ac.id/index.php/icomus/article/view/2571 Fri, 15 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0700 Chick N Long Surabaya: The Impact of Customer Experience on Customer Satisfaction https://conference.ut.ac.id/index.php/icomus/article/view/2589
Experience marketing entails creating a marketing plan that promotes the customer's unique experiences as well as the product itself. As a response, Indonesia has ratified repressive laws against sexual harassment, such as the Law on Sexual Violence Crimes Number 12 Year 2022. The government’s focus on repressive acts left a gap in preventive acts such as sexual literacy, defined as education on an individual’s reproductive rights and awareness of sexual violence. The research informs 50 college students from the ages of 18 to 25 in Indonesia on their opinions on the ineffective impact of the laws regarding sexual harassment that have been passed by the government. Using mixed-method research that collects quantitative data through a questionnaire and qualitative data through interview. The aim of the research is to showcase the importance of sexual literacy as a preventive act against sexual violence. The research finds that respondents distrust the justice system even if they feel comfortable reporting sexual violence when it occurs due to the discriminative responses from police forces. Though respondents agreed of the importance of sexual literacy, the lack of formal education makes college students search for information on the internet which is highly uncensored, unregulated and informal.
Andini Puansari, San Zein Nisa Qory Qurroby, Selly Anastassia Amellia Kharis Copyright (c) 2024 International Conference on Multidisciplinary Academic Studies https://conference.ut.ac.id/index.php/icomus/article/view/2581 Sat, 16 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0700 The Role of The Bina Harapan Community in Developing The Potential of Persons with Disabilities: A Case Study of Ngembal Village, Wajak District, Malang Regency https://conference.ut.ac.id/index.php/icomus/article/view/2477
The existence of a community in a particular environment is very useful and very much needed in shaping the self-identity of the members in it. In the disability environment in Ngembal Village, Wajak District, Malang Regency, the Bina Harapan community bridges various activities to support the potential of each individual with disabilities, ranging from children to adults according to their abilities. The type of research used by researchers is a qualitative method with observation and in-depth interviews. The results of this study indicate that from the information obtained, community leaders have a work program to support the potential of persons with disabilities by holding meetings twice a week, namely on Friday and Sunday. The work program that is carried out is different at each meeting to avoid boredom, the work program includes learning to draw, read, write, recognize currency, plant, make batik, learn to cook and embroider. Of course, the above work program will experience many obstacles because it adapts to the ability of the condition of the individual with disabilities themselves. The existence of Paguyuban Bina Harapan Wajak is a form of concern for people with disabilities with the hope that people with disabilities will be able to live independently and be more confident in the future.
Erika Nanda Saputri, Lulus Sugeng Triandika Copyright (c) 2024 International Conference on Multidisciplinary Academic Studies https://conference.ut.ac.id/index.php/icomus/article/view/2477 Sat, 16 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0700
