Abstract

Language is a communication tool. With human language can express ideas, feelings, and messages to others. Learning Indonesian Language and Literature at school is to develop language skills both orally and in writing. The language skills in question are listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. The four language skills are a unit that cannot be separated from one another. Given that writing skills are very important because in the process of expressing ideas and opinions it is not easy because it requires continuous training, so strategies are needed in learning by applying the Cooperative Script method. The application of this method aims to improve students' ability to write poetry so that students can develop their ideas by pouring them into written form. Innovative and creative learning helps learning more optimally, one of which is by applying the cooperative script method. Brosseau (Hadi in Maryani, Lihawa and Nurfaika, 2013: 4) says "Cooperative Script is an explicit learning contract between teachers and students and students and students regarding ways of collaborating." Using this model, students can work or think for themselves, not just relying on one student in their group. Because each student is required to abstract the material and express his opinion directly with his partner.
