Abstract

The purpose of this research is to prioritize the material on identifying fantasy stories by applying a discussion method designed to determine the effectiveness of the discussion method to increase students' learning interest in identifying fantasy stories material in class VII. Classroom Action Research is carried out through learning videos that are observed and analyzed. The researcher conducted a simulation of cycles I and II without students at their own assignments, namely MTs. Darussalam, Caringin District, Bogor Regency. By using the Application of the Discussion Method it can increase students' interest in learning Indonesian material in identifying the elements of fantasy story texts that are read and heard. Interest in learning is the choice of pleasure in carrying out activities and can arouse someone's passion to fulfill their willingness to learn.
