Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the results of improving student learning outcomes of class XA MA Darul Hikam Jenggawah in debate text material through the Problem Based Learning model. Subjects in this study were determined through a purposive sampling technique. The place of research is determined by the purposive area method. The purposive area is the determination of the place of research based on certain criteria and objectives. classroom action research that has been carried out through several actions from the first cycle, the second cycle and based on the research objectives, namely how to increase the learning outcomes of class XA MAS Darul Hikam Jenggawah in debate text material through the Problem Based Learning model does it experience a significant increase if model learning is carried out? PBL in debate material in class XA MA Darul Hikam,. Learning outcomes and student motivation will increase. This is shown from the results of the analysis which found that the completeness score of the assessment indicators could increase and also student learning outcomes through formative tests and also the practice of debating experienced a significant increase reaching 100% in the second cycle.
