ANALISIS UNSUR MAJAS DALAM PUISI “KEPADA KAWAN” KARYA CHAIRIL ANWAR

Abstract

In literature, there is one writing from the thoughts and imagination of the author called a literary work. There are many types of literary works, one of which is poetry. Poetry as a literary work can be studied from various aspects of its structure, elements, types and varieties. In a poem, there are elements that are very important and make poetry more interesting, namely majas or language styles. One of Chairil Anwar’s poems entitled Kepada Kawan is an interesting poem and has a beautiful language style. This research aims to find out the language style or majas contained in the poem Kepada Kawan by Chairil Anwar. In this research, a descriptive qualitative research method is used, namely the data collection technique used in the research is a literature study by reading, searching, and recording data in the form of lines of poetry containing majas that are used as the analysis.  From the aesthetic value of poetry, we can analyze it to understand its meaning. Poetry analysis can be taken from various aspects, structures and elements. The poem Kepada Kawan by Chairil Anwar has several language styles or majas in it including Personification Majas, Metaphor Majas, Hyperbole Majas, Antithesis Majas, Repetition Majas, and the most dominant in this poem are Assonance Majas and Alliteration Majas.
