Abstract

The background of this research is that teachers are more likely to convey storytelling activities using only storybooks without using serial picture media so that children quickly get bored and do not listen to stories read by the teacher. This type of research is class action. The subjects of this study were class VI students at SDN Negeri 3 Mataram Baru, East Lampung. Through the research conducted and the results obtained after conducting data analysis, in general it can be concluded that improving listening skills using the storytelling method using serial media carried out by the teacher can run well and able to improve the child's ability to answer about the contents of the story that has been read by the teacher, the child's ability to sort the storyline that has been read and the child's ability to retell the contents of the story based on the order of the pictures.
