Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate efforts in improving motivation and participation of students by implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model based on TPACK (Technological Pedagogic Content Knowledge). Through observation results, it was identified that low motivation and participation levels were caused by the use of monotonous teaching models and the lack of appropriate approaches for each subject matter. This research was conducted to evaluate whether the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model based on TPACK can enhance motivation and the level of student engagement in the classroom. Descriptive qualitative research was utilized, with a sample of 31 students. The study used various data collection methods such as observation, interviews, online questionnaires, and documentation of student learning outcomes. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model based on TPACK significantly increased students' motivation and level of activity.
