Abstrak

This research aims to determine the effect of using animation-based learning videos on understanding the concept of virus material in class This research uses a quasiexperimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample consisted of two randomly selected classes: one class as an experimental group using animated videos, and one class as a control group using conventional learning methods. The research instrument is a multiple-choice test to measure students' conceptual understanding
before and after the intervention. The results showed that the average comprehension score of students in the experimental group increased significantly compared to the control group. Statistical tests show that the use of animation-based learning videos has a significant positive influence on understanding the concept of plant classification. Thus, animated videos can be an effective alternative learning media in increasing students' understanding of biological material, especially complex virus material.
