This study aims to examine the effect of using Canva-based visual media in improving students' understanding of healthy meal patterns at SMA Santo Paulus Pontianak. The approach used is a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group, where the experimental group received educational material in the form of infographics and posters using Canva, while the control group used conventional teaching methods. Normality tests using Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk tests showed that the pretest and posttest data in both groups were normally distributed (pretest: p = 0.194; posttest: p = 0.316). Furthermore, the paired sample t-test revealed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores in the experimental group with a t = 58.244 and p < 0.001. The mean difference between pretest and posttest scores in the experimental group was 29.167, indicating a significant improvement in understanding after the use of Canva-based visual media. The results of this study suggest that Canva-based visual media is effective in improving students' understanding of healthy eating patterns. This study recommends that schools implement visual media as an educational tool to enhance students' understanding in an engaging and easily comprehensible manner.
