The field practicum organized by Universitas Bina Bangsa for the Invertebrate Diversity course aims to introduce students to the characteristics of ecosystems and the morphology of invertebrates, particularly mollusks, while equipping them with skills in research sampling. This activity is conducted at Cagar Alam Pulau Dua in Kota Serang, an area renowned for its rich biodiversity. Through this practicum, students not only learn to identify the morphological forms and habitats of invertebrates directly, but they are also trained to conduct simple research on species diversity. This hands-on experience enhances their understanding and skills in ecological research, field data analysis, and the development of effective observation methods. The results of this activity reveal distinctive morphological variations among mollusks and a high level of biodiversity in the observed ecosystem. In conclusion, this field practicum provides essential real-world learning for biology education students in understanding biodiversity concepts and engaging in field research.
