ANALISIS KEBUTUHAN TEKNOLOGI PENDIDIKAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN LEARNING OWNERSHIP DAN KREATIVITAS MAHASISWA
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the learning media needs in the Plant Physiology course as the basis for developing innovative digital media that support deep learning. The needs analysis was conducted to identify challenges faced by students and lecturers during the learning process and to determine the appropriate type of media to enhance conceptual understanding, learning ownership, and creative thinking skills. The research methods included interviews with course lecturers, analysis of lesson plans (RPS and SAP), and a questionnaire distributed to 44 students. The results showed that the availability of learning materials remains limited, with 47.6% of students rarely receiving materials and only 28.6% frequently obtaining them. The media used are still dominated by PowerPoint (58.6%) and textbooks (35.7%), while videos and teaching modules are rarely utilized. The students’ level of learning ownership was categorized as good (78.4%), with persistence showing the highest score, whereas goal orientation and self-direction were moderate (70%). Creative thinking skills were in the proficient category (76%), with the highest score in collaborative ability (85%) and the lowest in elaboration (70%). These findings highlight the need for developing interactive digital learning media based on Deep Learning and Problem-Based Learning (PBL), which can facilitate reflection, collaboration, and systematic documentation of the learning process. Media such as e-portfolios are considered relevant to strengthen learning ownership and enhance students’ creative thinking skills in the context of Plant Physiology learning.
