OPTIMALISASI PERAN GURU DALAM PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PESERTA DIDIK MELALUI PENGEMBANGAN DESAIN MEANINGFUL LEARNING BERBASIS HOTS BAGI GURU SD

Based on the Minimum Competency Assessment in elementary schools in Semarang Regency, the results are still low, so improving students' critical thinking skills is important to be done through the implementation of meaningful learning activities based on HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills). The purpose of this study is to improve knowledge in developing HOTS-based meaningful learning designs for elementary school teachers. The method used is a pre-experiment, the sampling technique used is a saturated sample involving all teachers at Public Elementary Schools in Sambirejo Village, Semarang Regency. Data were collected using question instruments, questionnaires, and observation sheets, which were then analyzed using descriptive statistics and interpreted. Based on the collected data, it was found that there was an increase in knowledge (high category, N-Gain 0.72) in the preparation of HOTS-based meaningful learning designs and HOTS assessment instruments relevant to learning by utilizing technology. The research subjects were also able to design HOTS-based Meaningful Learning and technology. The results of this study can be used practically to improve the quality of learning and add references for readers. The conclusion of this study is that there was an increase in knowledge in developing HOTS-based Meaningful Learning Designs.

Abstrak: Berdasarkan Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum pada sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Semarang menunjukkan hasil yang masih rendah, sehingga peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik penting untuk dilakukan melalui penyelenggaraan kegiatan pembelajaran yang bermakna (meaningful learning) berbasis HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dalam mengembangkan desain meaningful learning berbasis HOTS bagi guru sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah pre eksperimen dengan teknik sampling sampel jenuh yang melibatkan seluruh guru di SD Negeri di Desa Sambirejo, Kabupaten Semarang. Data dihimpun menggunakan instrumen soal, angket serta lembar observasi yang selanjutnya dianalisis secara statistika deskripstif dan diinterpetasikan. Berdasarkan data yang dihimpun diketahui bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan (kategori tinggi, N-Gain 0,72) dalam penyusunan desain meaningful learning berbasis HOTS serta instrumen asesmen HOTS yang relevan dengan pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan teknologi. Subjek penelitian juga mampu menyusun desain Meaningful Learning Berbasis HOTS dan teknologi. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dimanfaatkan secara praktis untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan menambah referensi bagi pembaca. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dalam menyusun desain Meaningful Learning Berbasis HOTS.
