Abstract
The development program of the Smart Village model through the "Cerdas Bersama Alam" educational park, aimed at enhancing educational motivation and environmental awareness in the community, is being implemented in the village of Tanjung Rejo, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. This program is supported by partners, the Village Government, and the Youth Community Organization (Karang Taruna) of Tanjung Rejo Village, the Department of Education of Deli Serdang Regency, as well as Preschool/Kindergarten/Islamic Kindergarten (PAUD/TK/RA), Elementary Schools (SD/MIN/MIS), and Junior High Schools (SMP/MTs) in Tanjung Rejo Village.
This is the second year of the program's implementation in the effort to transform Tanjung Rejo Village into a Smart Village model where its residents become educationally aware, knowledgeable, skillful, and environmentally conscious.
Activities conducted in the second year of the program in 2023 include (1) synchronization and alignment of perceptions with partners, (2) development of "Cerdas Bersama Alam" learning modules as guidance for teachers in educating students about "Cerdas Bersama Alam," (3) training to strengthen and enhance the capacity of teachers in Tanjung Rejo Village in teaching "Cerdas Bersama Alam" to students, (4) the establishment of educational parks for agriculture, mangrove, and fisheries, along with providing support facilities, (5) preparation of schedules for "Cerdas Bersama Alam" learning practices and mobilization of students to participate in practical activities in the agricultural, mangrove, and fisheries educational park, (6) Socialization and Education of Universitas Terbuka, (7) publicizing program activities in the Tribune Medan newspaper and TVRI North Sumatra.
