Abstract

This study aims to conduct a preliminary investigation of educators' attitudes toward integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology into teaching practices. This research is a survey study, with data collected through questionnaires completed by 122 educators from various educational institutions. The questionnaire included questions regarding the frequency of technology use in teaching, the types of technology utilized, as well as the challenges and obstacles faced in using AI, particularly applications like ChatGPT. Initial findings indicate that the majority of educators have utilized technology in their teaching, with some having begun to adopt AI elements. However, the use of AI in teaching remains limited, and some educators reported not fully understanding or being able to effectively implement this technology. The primary challenges faced include technical difficulties, a lack of understanding of AI's potential, and concerns about the ethical use of AI. Preliminary data analysis suggests that although there is significant interest in using AI, more in-depth training is needed to overcome these barriers and enhance educators' understanding of AI implementation in teaching. These findings provide an important foundation for further research and the development of more structured training programs to improve AI literacy among educators.
