By drawing from a selection of seminal studies, this review aims to shed light on critical dimensions and emerging trends in performance measurement within the dynamic context of contemporary business environments. Furthermore, the article identifies research gaps and proposes a comprehensive research agenda to foster further exploration in the field of performance management.
