This study aims to identify and analyze ef orts to improve the performance and quality of human
resources (HR) of Village Of icials to support the ef ectiveness of public services at the village level.
Good performance of Village Of icials is very important in managing various development programs and
services to the community. However, various challenges such as lack of training, minimal motivation, and
limited facilities often hinder the achievement of optimal performance. This study uses a qualitative
approach with a case study method in several villages in certain areas. Data were collected through
interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that increasing the capacity
of HR of village of icials can be done through various strategies, including: increasing education and
training, strong leadership, improving facilities and infrastructure, improving motivation and incentive
systems, developing work evaluation systems, empowerment and participation from the community also
play an important role in the success of improving the quality of HR. This study is expected to provide
practical recommendations for policies to improve the performance and quality of HR of Village Of icials
in the future.
