MANAJEMEN PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH DI BUMDES CITAYAM SEJAHTERA KABUPATEN BOGOR

Abstract

Citayam Village is one of the buffer areas with rapid population growth. This increase in population creates a new problem, namely the increasing amount of household waste. Waste management in Citayam Village has not been carried out properly, where there is no waste manager in the village. This resulted in the community managing waste independently by burning waste which caused new problems. Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) Citayam Sejahtera sees this as an opportunity and challenge to carry out waste management from and for the community. This activity was carried out to provide waste management education for the community in Citayam Village and business planning briefing for the management of Citayam Sejahtera BUMDes. Implementation method by conducting need assessment, implementation, and program evaluation. The result of this activity is in the form of community education, namely BUMDes administrators, PKK administrators, and cadet reef administrators as agents of change regarding waste management. In addition, BUMDes administrators were also given training on how to plan business for waste management businesses. It is hoped that the community will be more educated about the importance of waste management by change agents, initiate a new BUMDes business, namely a waste bank in Citayam Village, and create a cleaner and healthier environment in the future.
