Abstract

Community empowerment is a process of developing community independence and welfare by carrying out activities such as training, mentoring to increase people's knowledge, skills and awareness in developing themselves as sustainable human beings. The aim of this community service activity is to: 1) provide additional knowledge about home land use; 2) provide additional skills in processing garden products using home land. The methods used in this service activity are lectures, demonstrations and mentoring. The number of participants in this activity was 15 people. The results of this activity for the community are 1) there are significant changes in the use of home land by creating green land using a hydroponic system and polybags through planting green vegetables and fruit vegetables; 2) there is an increase in skills in processing garden products with various kinds of preparations as an alternative to fulfill household scale nutrition. The next recommendation for service activities is to increase skills in processing garden products in large forms
