In the food and beverage business, one of the interesting products is sweet snack products, for example donuts. Donuts are a food that is popular with Indonesian people. Indonesia itself is considered to still be a prospective market for the donut business, which is marked by the increasing emergence of these business actors, both local and foreign. Seeing the opportunities that existed, I tried to set up a donut production business. Initially I did the production and sales myself, but now I involve friends who are members of the Open University (UT) Student Entrepreneurship PkM. For production, we still use our home kitchen, while for sales we use the family-owned shop building which is right in front of the house. There are many obstacles faced while running this donut selling business, such as the production stage which is not optimal due to inadequate machines, the appearance of the selling place which is not very attractive, and donut packaging which is still rudimentary. Another obstacle is ineffective promotion, which results in not increasing new buyers not increasing. To overcome these obstacles, with the existence of UT Student Entrepreneurship PkM, several solutions have been implemented including procuring wrong production equipment in the form of proofing machines, making digital promotions more effective through paid promotions on social media. The product produced from this business is a donut whose toppings and flavors are given after the buyer orders and the flavors and toppings are given in front of the buyer to create a fresh impression of the product. And one of the advantages of donut products is that they are made naturally without preservatives using simple equipment. In current sales, we serve online orders. It is hoped that this donut production activity will also have an impact on developing entrepreneurship among students and increasing the turnover of business partners who provide donut raw materials.
