PENGEMBANGAN SOFTSKILL PUBLIC SPEAKING DAN GROOMING PENGELOLA BECAK DAN HOMESTAY DESA SIALLAGAN PINDARAYA, KABUPATEN SAMOSIR

Abstract

Tourism is one of the most important sectors in the economy of Samosir Regency. To enhance tourist attraction, it is necessary to improve the quality of service, including the communication skills and appearance of tourism actors. This community service activity aims to improve the quality of tourism services in Siallagan Pindaraya Village, Samosir Regency, particularly through the development of public speaking and grooming soft skills among becak and homestay operators. This training is designed to equip participants with effective communication skills and a professional appearance, so that they can make a good impression on tourists. The training is conducted through lectures, group discussions, and hands-on practice. The training materials cover public speaking techniques, handling customer complaints, and appropriate dress codes and appearance for the profession. Evaluations are conducted before and after the training to measure the improvement in participants' abilities. The expected outcome is an improvement in the quality of tourism services, an increase in community income, and ultimately, a contribution to the development of sustainable tourism in Samosir Regency.
