High unemployment rates and limited job opportunities often hinder efforts to improve family economics, especially for housewives (IRT) in the Eka Budi 2 area, Medan Johor, Medan City. The majority of housewives in this area possess unoptimized potential in productive activities. This community service program aims to empower housewives through entrepreneurship skills training so that they can create independent and sustainable income sources, thereby reducing their dependence on their husband's income, through the processing and packaging of anchovy (ikan teri), a food commonly consumed by the local community. The assistance activity utilized a comprehensive training and direct practice method. The results of this service program indicate a significant improvement in the technical and managerial skills of the housewife partners. Economically, the activity has opened up new income opportunities for the participants, directly contributing to the improvement of family welfare and economic independence. Socially, the activity has strengthened solidarity and cooperation networks among the housewives.References
