Abstract

This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to train elementary school (SD) teachers to create learning media in the form of simple teaching aids for the topic of Geometry. Based on the results of interviews with the Supervisory Coordinator of the Education & Culture Office and several elementary school principals in Pangkep Regency, information was obtained that there is still a lack of mathematical teaching aids, especially Geometry and low creativity of teachers in making Geometry mathematics teaching aids. The participants of this PKM are elementary school teachers who number 50 people and are representatives of sub-districts in mainland Pangkep Regency.  This PkM activity is in the form of training, simulation, and testing of Geometry props in elementary schools. The technical steps in this PkM activity are: introduction to simple Geometry teaching aids in elementary schools, training in making simple Geometry props, simulation of the use of teaching aids in learning mathematics Geomatri topics in elementary schools. The results of this PkM are: 1) participants can make simple Geometry props, 2) participants can use teaching aids in learning mathematics Geomatri topics in class, and 3) students enjoy learning using Geometry props and are able to improve their understanding in mathematics lessons.
