Abstract

Gender equality in the workplace is a crucial factor in creating a fair environment that supports employee career satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the influence of gender equality on employee career satisfaction at a national banking company in Indonesia. A quantitative approach was employed using simple linear regression analysis based on data from 157 permanent employees who had worked for at least one year. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale. The t-test results show that gender equality has a significant effect on career satisfaction (p = 0.000), with a regression coefficient of 0.539. The R² value of 0.117 indicates that gender equality explains 11.7% of the variance in career satisfaction. These findings support organizational justice and empowerment theories, which emphasize the importance of a fair and inclusive work environment. Although the influence is not dominant, gender equality remains an important factor in enhancing employee career satisfaction. This study recommends that organizations strengthen gender equality practices and consider other factors such as organizational culture and individual development.
