Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in the national economy. By 2023 MSMEs can absorb more than 97% of the national workforce, and contribute around 61.1% to GDP in Indonesia. Currently, MSMEs still face various challenges, especially in terms of licensing, halal certificates, access to financing, technology, and global markets.  One of the areas facing these challenges is MSMEs in Sukamaju Baru Urban Village, Depok City, West Java Province. In this area there are 40 MSMEs that have been formed but do not yet have a business license and halal certificate. Based on this, this PKM was carried out to increase the competence of MSME entrepreneurs in business licensing and digital-based marketing. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase credibility and access to various government assistance through licensing UMKM Sukamaju Baru, Tapos, Depok City. The substance of the training provides practical guidance on filling out business licenses through the Electronic Integrated Business Licensing System (OSS), increasing the competence and assistance of MSME enterpreneurs so that they have business licenses and have wider market access. Aligned existence of MSME business licenses and halal certificates, it can open up opportunities for MSMEs to obtain a wider market and enter mini markets and supermarkets that have more consumers. One of the requirements for MSME products to enter the minimarket and supermarket is to have an MSME business license and halal certificate. Community service activities were carried out from March to October 2024, the Open University (UT) SPs DAP Study Program Community Service Team carried out business licensing training activities for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Sukamaju Baru Village, Tapos District, Depok City. This activity was attended by 32 MSME enterpreneurs from generation Z and housewives. According to the evaluation results through surveys, this community service activity showed that 90% of participants felt that MSME enterpreneurs better understood business licensing procedures and benefits. In addition, 85% of participants stated that MSME enterpreneurs were ready to market MSME products more widely. This activity is expected to create New Business Owners (NBO) who are more adaptive to technology and able to increase their business to a higher level in Gen Z era.
