Publication Process
The Forum for University Scholars in Interdisciplinary Opportunities and Networking Conference follows a transparent, rigorous, and systematic publication process to ensure the quality and integrity of academic contributions. The steps involved are as follows:
1. Submission of Manuscripts
- Authors are required to submit their manuscripts via the journal's online submission system, ensuring adherence to the provided guidelines regarding format, references, and ethical disclosures.
- Each manuscript is automatically acknowledged upon receipt, and the corresponding author will receive a confirmation email.
2. Initial Screening
- The editorial team will conduct an initial screening to verify that the submission aligns with the journal’s scope, formatting requirements, and ethical standards.
- Manuscripts that do not meet the basic criteria may be returned to the authors for corrections or rejected at this stage.
3. Peer Review Process
- Once a manuscript passes the initial screening, it will undergo a double-blind peer review process. Two or more independent experts in the field will evaluate the manuscript based on its originality, significance, methodology, clarity, and contribution to the field.
- Reviewers will provide constructive feedback and recommend one of the following outcomes: acceptance, revision (minor or major), or rejection.
4. Author Revisions
- If the manuscript requires revisions, authors will be given the opportunity to address the reviewers' comments and resubmit the revised manuscript.
- Authors are expected to provide a point-by-point response to reviewers’ feedback and detail the changes made in the revised manuscript.
5. Editorial Decision
- Based on the reviewers’ reports and the authors' responses to the revisions, the editorial team will make a final decision. The possible outcomes include:
- Acceptance: The manuscript is ready for publication.
- Minor Revisions: The manuscript requires slight changes before acceptance.
- Major Revisions: Significant revisions are necessary before further consideration.
- Rejection: The manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards for publication.
6. Copyediting and Proofreading
- Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting to ensure clarity, grammar, and adherence to the journal’s style guide.
- Authors will receive proofs for final review and approval. This stage allows authors to correct any typographical or formatting errors but does not allow for substantial changes to the content.
7. Publication
- After the final approval from the authors, the manuscript is scheduled for publication in the next available issue.
- Articles are published in both digital and print formats and made accessible through the journal’s online platform.
8. Post-Publication
- The published article will be assigned a DOI and indexed in various academic databases to ensure wide dissemination and visibility.
- Any post-publication issues such as corrections, retractions, or ethical concerns will be addressed promptly following the journal’s policies.
